jumps AT leamington c&ac
Long Jump, Triple Jump & High Jump
Leamington Cycling & Athletics Club is developing a dedicated jumps group covering long jump, triple jump and high jump at Edmondscote Athletics Track.
The group is supported by Katharine Stein, who holds UKA Event Group qualifications in both jumps and pole vault — bringing specialist coaching expertise to all four jumping disciplines at the club.
If you are interested in jumps training at Leamington C&AC we’d love to hear from you. Register your interest now and we’ll be in touch as the group develops.
Note for junior athletes: All U14 athletes joining Leamington C&AC are expected to begin in the U14 Run Jump Throw group before progressing to specialist event groups. [Find out more about the junior pathway →]

What we offer
Three events, one group
Horizontal Jumps
Long Jump
The most accessible of the horizontal jumps, combining a sprint approach with a powerful takeoff and a controlled landing. Technical development focuses on approach run consistency, takeoff mechanics and flight position.
Horizontal Jumps
Triple Jump
One of athletics’ most technically demanding events — a hop, step and jump sequence requiring coordination, strength and precise timing. Athletes typically develop long jump foundations before progressing to triple jump.
Vertical Jumps
High Jump
Combining speed, flexibility and explosive power, high jump rewards technical precision as much as physical ability.
The Fosbury Flop technique is the focus for competitive athletes at all levels.
coaching
Expert Support from the Start
Our pole vault group is coached by a specialist with UKA qualifications in both pole vault and jumps — one of the few coaches in Warwickshire with dedicated expertise across the full range of jumping events.

Katherine Stein
Pole Vault & Jumps Coach · UKA Event Group
The Leamington C&AC jumps group is supported by Katharine Stein, a UKA qualified coach holding Event Group qualifications in both jumps and pole vault.
Katharine already leads the club’s successful pole vault group and brings the same patient, athlete-centred coaching philosophy to the developing jumps programme. Her experience across all four jumping disciplines — long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault — gives Leamington C&AC a genuinely comprehensive jumping provision.
“Our group is aimed at supporting and developing every athlete on their own individual journey.”
As the jumps group grows, further coaching support will be added. If you are an experienced jumps coach interested in getting involved with Leamington C&AC please get in touch.
